I had already been working on this one, so it didn’t take long to finish. Of course, they’re closed now, but this is another Liftopia resort and I wanted to complete all of those. I need two more to get to 30 resorts, and it so happens there are two for Liftopia left: Kirkwood and [...]

Added Mad River Glen
That should be enough Vermont resorts for a while. I’ll do some New Mexico ones next. Gotta get my hands on some Southern Hemisphere data, since it’ll be turning winter down there soon. Maybe I’ll have to try it with the 30 meter SRTM data, but that’s so crude.
Added Sugarbush North
Now I have Sugarbush north to complement Sugarbush south.
Added Sugarbush, VT
Finally, added Sugarbush but only the southern area so far. The resort covers a lot of area if you put the two areas together, so I split it in two. I’ll probably have the Mt. Ellen side up tonight or tomorrow night. Then Mad River Glen is right up north of there, so I’ll do [...]
Added “Instacomments” To All Views
There is now a service called Instacomment which makes it easy to put comments on each of the views of each of the ski area maps. So maybe that will be easier to comment on the maps than going to the forums or the guestbook.
Oh Man, A Week With Nothing New
I haven’t put any new maps up in at least a week. I was working on making art for a couple of posters, getting a CafePress store set up, getting set up with some sponsors, and lately I’ve been trying to find a good printer to make laminated maps, or possibly maps on synthetic paper.
But [...]
New Taos 3dSkiMap Zoomified Poster
I’ve made a poster for Taos Ski Valley, which you can see in its zoomified form. It’ll take a little while to get the poster into my CafePress store, probably have it there tomorrow.
Jackson Hole Poster Now Available At CafePress
I decided I liked the new poster, so I went ahead and put it up for sale on CafePress at http://cafepress.com/3dskimaps. I have five products, and I tailored the proportions of the image to each. There’s a large poster, small poster, two sizes of framed prints, and a yearly calendar.
New Version Of Jackson Hole Poster
Well, it took about two weeks longer than expected, but now I’ve got a new version of the poster up at http://3dskimaps.com/jacksonhole/3dskimapf.html. I had to change the scale a little. It turns out I was capping the slope at 45 degrees, which didn’t matter much for other ski areas, but which made a difference at [...]
