Trostian Mountain, Ukraine (Горы Тростян, Украниа) Added

I got an email from someone in Ukraine curious about how I make my maps. I pleaded trade secret, but gave a little info and was skeptical about getting any good data. Then I finally broke down and checked out the Space Shuttle SRTM data, at which I’ve turned up my nose before because it’s on 30 meter posting, compared to the barely sufficient 10 meter posting available for US mountains.

So I did Trostian Mountain in Ukraine (Горы Тростян, Украниа). It’s not completely horrible, but it doesn’t show much more than a ridge here and a bowl there, the overall shape of the ski area. I probably should try it on some mountains in the Alps.

I tried putting some Cyrillic in the description, but apparently I don’t know how to mix character sets in a MySql record. But if Wordpress can do it, then I can figure it out.
