Work has slowed down as I attend to things I neglected over the Winter, but also some of my time has been consumed with the as-yet unfulfilling search for better data sources. I managed to find some 30-meter SRTM data for areas outside the US, but it isn’t very good and I decided to stop wasting my time with it, especially since I don’t have the corresponding 1-meter orthophotos to go with it.
So, I made the Alta poster and I’m now finishing up the Snowbird poster. For some reason Snowbird seems really complicated and is taking a long time, or maybe I’m just not getting into the groove.
Meanwhile, I drove to Jacksonville to visit cousins and and get some serious beach time. I could totally move to the beach. My cousin told me it would cost no more to buy a house in Jacksonville Beach than it does to live in Dallas. But it’s so far from the mountains!
